Abstract

This article situates the 2025 Regolamento Generale della Curia Romana, promulgated by Pope Leo XIV, within the reform process initiated by Praedicate Evangelium. After outlining the ecclesiological and institutional context of the curial reform, it examines the new regulations through a systematic comparison with the 1999 Regolamento. The study analyses changes in terminology, structure, procedures, coordination mechanisms, and legal safeguards, and explores how the new provisions give concrete normative expression to the principles of evangelisation, synodality, and service to the Pope and the bishops.
